I spent pretty much part of every day over the past year walking the seawall with my new baby, trying to find a moment of calm in my mind while I navigated each day as a new mother.  Often overwhelmed, anxious, depressed and emotional, the sea and mountains where I call home gave me some form of peace when I needed it.  Other times I would visit the beach and feel joy and happiness like never before.  And now, a bit more in my groove with this new identity, I still find myself breathing a little calmer when I am at the ocean's edge. I hope this new collection of paintings resonates with you, for the times when you can't bring your physical self to meet the sea.
