An exciting new collaboration is taking place between luxury linen bedding company Flax Home and Vancouver based fine artist Dana Mooney. 

On October 20, in-person customers are invited to shop the limited edition, small-batch collection of hand painted pillow shams and a selection of new abstract paintings on canvas which Dana explains are part of an ongoing series of artwork within her range of expressionistic styles. 

The calming collection, "Sweet Dreams" is a study of emotions associated with elements of sleep.  Inspired by movement felt in the cycles of wind and waves of this west coast environment, she hopes the viewer finds peace in this collection and surrounds themselves in a place to pause and inspire their own homes.

The show is taking place Oct. 20 at Flax Home Showroom, 858 E. Hastings Street from 4-8pm, and will continue to run over the weekend and online from Oct. 21-23.

Coordinating with Flax Home's gorgeous array of bedding colours and their new fall colour palette release of deep jupiter green and saturated azure blue, Dana applied her painterly sweeps of acrylic paint across cloud linen pillow shams.  Each one is washable and original, they will be sold as sets of 2 for $150.  These bedding accent pillows are easily the pop of colour bedroom design, tying decor together and adding the finished layered touch.  And for the homeowner who is wanting to create a completely cohesive space to relax and revive at the end of their days, Dana's paintings are the perfect wall art to compliment.
